Responsibilities:
Provide on-site coordination for all phases of commercial pool construction projects; including coordinating subcontractors, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion.
- Order equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.
- Keep track of material stock and orders
- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
- Communicate with the project team.
- Ensure that the team and subcontractor are fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
- Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the job site.
- Perform duties at multiple job sites simultaneously.
- Walk all units on the project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
- Attending meetings designed to coordinate the work.
- Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors about quality of work or scheduling.
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
- Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- OSHA Training a plus
- Procore experience a plus
- Provide direction to and resolve problems amongst subcontractors and vendors.
- Blueprint reading.
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, MS Project) as well as Bluebeam, Raken, Share Builder, or other takeoff software.
- Proficient in reading aquatic or construction drawings/ documents
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze large sets of data.
- Team player who operates well in a dynamic team environment
- Must hold a valid Driver’s License
- Endurance and ability to visit the entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.
- Monitor job-site general health and safety.
- Must be able to travel to the job site (s) as assigned both in-state and out-of-state.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Be able to pass a drug test and be subject to random drug testing.
